I have been dutifully searching for the holy grail of Victorian dollhouse interior design for some time now, and had all by given up when the flu sidelined me long enough this winter to find me spending long hours on the computer searching through sources like Amazon.......and voila! success at last! I found this tiny delight (and one other wonderful suit of armor both from Pacific Giftware) here on Amazon. This is only 4 inches high, but is very beautifully detailed and painted. My goal was to find realistic looking suits of armor to add to several of my good-sized collection of handmade and decorated Victorian dollhouses. Since the scale of my houses is 1:12, this piece works quite well.One of the "dollhouses" is set up as a [Steampunk styled] Academy for Gifted Children, and is decorated in a darker late-Victorian style, which just calls out for a suit of armor. This piece really stands out amidst the many eclectic handmade pieces in this particular setting. I may just have to buy another few of these, as I have only been able to find the one other piece that looks like a real suit of armor, rather than a tiny man inside of a costume.Oh, the delights of being caught up in a collecting frenzy! Many thanks to Amazon for making this quality piece available. I was afraid that I was going to have to settle for a small, chintzy, kids toy knight......this piece looks real! Arrived very well packaged in a molded Styrofoam carton inside of a little box. A great find!
